Dream on..

"It was a magnificent mirror, as high as the ceiling, with an ornate gold frame, standing on two clawed feet. There was an inscription carved around the top: Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi "

The above excerpt from Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone talks of a strange inscription on a mirror. When you first read it, the sentence doesn't make sense. But when read backwards, the message it conveys is simple: I show not your face but your heart's desire.

This sentence got me thinking. I realized that by using that sentence, the author J.K Rowling teaches us motivation. We should not dwell on dreams alone, but strive hard to achieve our heart's desire. As Dumbledore (in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) says, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

Back After a Long Hiatus..

The last time I posted on my blog was way back in March 2011. Fourteen months later, a wiser, older and healthier version of me is back!

I haven't blogged in a while because a lot of things transpired, right from a change in my single status to the loss of loved ones.

                                         I'm lost in thought as I stand at the sea shore..

Here is a lowdown of the year that was:

•  I lost my paternal grandmother in March 2011 and my maternal grandmother in April this year. Their deaths caused a major blow to our family and we are still grieving. Hope their souls rest in peace.Amen. 

•  I fell sick and had a host of health problems back to back from February to April this year.

•  I got married in September 2011! :)

It opened up a whole new world for me..I had to learn to manage my home, in laws and yet continue with my job.

All About Love: Part 1

THE POWER OF LOVE

The word 'love' has different connotations. 
It exists in different forms- parental love, romantic love, love between friends; all love that arises out of blood ties, etc  
No matter what form it is received in, love has immense power. 
It helps you cheer up; uplifts your mood and is a feel good factor.
Metamorphically speaking, love has the power to move mountains.
Love can also be a source of comfort when you're in the dumps.
It can motivate you when the situation demands.
It can provide solace when you feel all is lost.
Receiving love makes you feel 'wanted' and you will feel the need to return the love.
Selfless love can touch lives
Love strikes a chord in your life..
Love brightens up your life.
Summing it all up- LOVE ROCKS! :)

Bouncing Back

I haven't been blogging regularly. But why? The reasons range from time constraint to writers block. Not to mention me turning into a workaholic! I've been busy lately as a lot of stuff's going on in my life. What with the fact that the year end is approaching and also that I haven't got a minute to spare for myself! The concept of  'me' time has temporarily been ousted from my dictionary. So naturally my blogging has been affected too.

But I have decided that enough is enough! I'm going to bounce back into blogging. Guess its time for me to continue this enjoyable journey, come what may.
